Children's Prams
Looking for good information about children's prams?
Then you have come the the right place!
Children’s prams are different from infant prams. There are essentially two different types of prams for
children. One is the pram that is like a stroller designed for toddler children, and the other is children’s doll
prams. Children’s doll prams are easy to explain. They are very lightweight, often primarily of plastic with
possibly some aluminum parts. They are smaller than children’s strollers, and just the right size for the average
baby doll.
Prams designed to carry children are, first of all, big enough to at least carry toddlers. Some can carry
children who are even bigger. Children’s prams are designed to be structurally sturdy and safe so that they will
last a long time and keep your child from harm.
When a child is in a pram, she will want to have her feet down. Therefore, it is best to have a stroller-type
pram, or a standard pram that converts into a stroller type. The length from seat to wheels should be plenty long
enough that the child will be able to stretch out her legs. This length should be covered by a divider so the child
will not get her feet caught up in the wheels.
The seat backs of children’s prams need to be either permanently set tall enough for them or adjustable so that
they can grow into them. These prams are either made specifically for children older than babies, or they are
adjustable so that toddlers can use them. If there is no back that allows the child to sit up, it is not a pram for
children.
